About the Role 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Safety Officer to join our growing business! Working collaboratively alongside our dedicated project team, you will take the lead on providing support and maintaining a safe and secure environment.  

 

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Assist the site team with establishing and maintaining a safe, workable, and professionally presented worksite. 
  • Support the project team in relation to the implementation and ongoing development of the project’s WHS and Environmental Management Plans. 
  • Provide a mentoring/coaching approach with workers in relation to compliance with the QHSE Management Systems and their legal obligations. 
  • Manage compliance with the QHSE Management Systems, including HammerTech and Aconex. 
  • Actively manage safety compliance and hazards on site. 
  • Promote a positive safety culture on site with subcontractors and project team.

About You! 

You will have a passion for safety and previous experience within the commercial construction industry. You will be a motivated team player with the following knowledge and experience:  

  • Proven experience in managing QHSE on construction sites 
  • Proficiency in the use of IT applications and programs 
  • Current SA drivers license 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Cert IV in WHS is desirable
