Governance Support Administrator
Part-time 0.6 or 0.8 FTE

We are seeking an Governance Support Aministrator to provide a high-level of support and guidance to the Group Board and sub-committees, the Sarah Family Council, and the Group Managing Director.

 

 

The Role 

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this role will ensure administrative compliance and serve as the governance officer for Sarah Group, playing a pivotal role in strengthening the Group’s governance function.   

 

Key responsibilities of the role are to: 

  • Provide comprehensive administration support including preparation and distribution of board packs and reports, taking minutes, and recording and managing action items.
  • Actively collaborate with the Board Chair, Board members, and the Group Managing Director to ensure board meetings are effectively facilitated and administered.
  • Management of the board portal, Diligent, and ensure documents are stored appropriately and can be retrieved easily for future reference.
  • Administer all governance frameworks including but not limited to the charter(s), terms of reference, delegations of authority, registers and policies.
  • Identify opportunities for governance enhancements and implement improvements in operational effectiveness.
  • Adhere to all legal and organisational obligations, maintaining the integrity of the Corporate Compliance Framework.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Group Executive team, and the Brand and Communications team.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

About You 

You will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience: 

  • Experience serving in a Company Secretary or Governance related role.
  • Experience working in executive administration support.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and online meeting platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities at once.
  • Possess a sound understanding of the need for a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work autonomously, determine priorities, and anticipate the requirements of the Group Executive.
  • Proactively approach issues by being solution focused.
  • Experience working in a large family-owned business (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working with Diligent, board portal (preferred but not mandatory).
